We BEFRIEND women so they feel like they BELONG. Then they will be open to hear about what we BELIEVE, which will open their hearts to BECOME someone different...a follower of Jesus! To complete the circle, we want women to BEFRIEND others and help them BELONG, too.
Befriend. Giving women connections. Our purpose is to help women at Colby Wesleyan Church connect with one another and to provide a safe place to invite girlfriends from outside the church.
Belong. Giving women community. We all long for a place where people know our name and something about us. Girlfriends is just such a place. There will be opportunities for large group events, as well as small G! Groups focused on common interests.
Believe. Giving women Jesus. At every opportunity we want to create an atmosphere where women can discover that a growing friendship with Jesus is exciting. Women get to know Jesus as we worship, study, experience and explore our faith together.
Become. Giving women growth. Helping women become the women God created them to be -- through Bible study, friendship, mentoring, and leadership.
Girlfriends Dinner Out meets the fourth Monday of each month, 6:00 p.m. at El Dos de Oros Mexican Restaurant for a meal out to celebrate birthdays and enjoy the company of Christian friends. This is an informal time of catching up with friends and celebrating that we are each special in God's eyes!
Additionally there are Girlfriend Night Out events planned throughout the year.

Fall Bible Study will begin on Wednesday, August 31, 2011. Each season we offer two sessions:
- Wednesday morning, 10:00-12:00 meets in the Church Conference Room

Wednesday evening, 6:30-8:15 meets at Pioneer Memorial Library in the Community Room.
- "Here and Now...There and Then" by Beth Moore. This is an 11-session lecture series on the book of Revelation. Beth presents many points of view, allowing women to study the scriptures and decide for themselves when the interpretation varies among scholars. Some homework each week. Cost is $20.00.
