Our Vision

"Reaching the World with the LOVE of Jesus Christ, starting...
...across the STREET & across the COMMUNITY, then
                     ...across the STATE, then
                                ...across the NATION, and
                                            ...around the world."

Colby Wesleyan Church takes seriously God's call to reach out and share HIS love with a world in need; but just a general statement of concern is meaningless unless there are specific ministries that put action to the vision.

Across the Street & Across the Community
CWC provides a variety of children's ministries to children from across the community, provides hats & gloves for the Christmas food baskets in association with the Genesis food bank, provides infant supplies through it's Babies in Need program. Women's Ministries sponsor community Bible Studies for women at the local library. The youth have a variety of events, including The Seven Project, the Bike Across Kansas serving event, and serving nights at youth group. Highway cleanup, free school supplies for those in need each fall with a Kid's Karnival with food, fun, and games. CWC sponsors sports ministries, including a summer co-ed softball team and an open gym night at Heartland Christian School. On Mother's Day weekend, CWC members distribute hundreds of roses to moms across the community. We are constantly watching for ways to share Christ's love.

Across the State
CWC partners with the Kansas District of the Wesleyan Church to plant churches in various locations in our state.

Across the Nation
CWC helps to sponsors a ministry leadership couple with Campus Crusade for Christ, participates in National & Area Wesleyan Youth Conventions, along with supporting Oklahoma Wesleyan University in Bartlesville, OK. All of these are part of CWC's national outreach.

Around the World
CWC supports eight missionaries & their families in various parts of the world, and sends teams on short-term missions trips every year. Members of the youth groups have been to Mexico, NYC, and a Boy's Ranch in Missiouri in recent years. Pastor Gene & Joy and other members of the congregation have ministered in Ecuador every year 2005-1010 through children's and women's ministries as well as construction of a ministry facility.
